“Rachel’s massages are a superb experience, they bring about a state of relaxation whilst stimulating the whole system after which you feel totally balanced. I float home and the effects are lasting and hugely beneficial.’”

“I started seeing Rachel on the advice of my Osteopath because I had some very tight muscles in my right calf which were preventing me from running.
In the past I’ve had Sports Massage to treat muscular tightness and found the whole experience excruciatingly painful, which made me so tense I developed other overly tight muscles – usually in my shoulders.
Having a massage by Rachel was an entirely different experience. She worked on the whole of my body, easing out all the related tight spots – It turned out that the “pull” from my tight calf was affecting my back and shoulder. She came to the calf towards the end, by which time I was so relaxed I hardly noticed the slight discomfort as she worked on it. I could feel the muscles choosing to let go as she worked. After weekly massages over the course of a month the problem was gone and I now see Rachel periodically for a maintenance massage. It is now several months later and I am delighted to be running pain free.”

I came to Rachel after suffering from a very sore and stiff back and shoulders having breastfed for 6 months. After the first session there was a marked improvement and the more sessions I had the longer I kept the stiffness away. I would highly recommend Rachel to any breastfeeding mum and next time I definitely won’t leave it six months!

“I really look forward to my Sunday morning yoga classes – relaxing, unwinding, and a great prelude to reading the Sunday paper at the coffee shop next door. Just the right balance of gentle poses and strengthening ones – I notice if I ever miss this class, my body needs it!”
Corrina Gordon-Barnes – Business Coach
“A yoga ‘virgin’ before joining Rachel’s class, I am now an enthusiast. Her style is calm and focused, and also encouraging and light-hearted. My only regret is that I didn’t take up yoga decades ago.”

“Rachel is a wonderful yoga teacher who guides, encourages and inspires her students on their own yoga journeys. She has shown me a way towards finding balance and harmony for which I will be forever grateful.”
Alison Anderson – Trainee Yoga Teacher

“Rachel’s pregnancy yoga sessions were a godsend for setting me up every week to deal with my aches and pains and the growing bump. Rachel has a calm and fun way of teaching whilst keeping a watchful eye on her class of mums to be. I’d never done a yoga class before but will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended”

“Rachel’s pregnancy yoga class was relaxing and I always came away with a new energy with an underlying calmness; the breathing and meditation worked for me as my labour was 4 hours and 13 minutes to a beautiful boy of 10lbs 9oz, with no pain relief! What more can I say?!”

“The antenatal yoga classes with Rachel were an invaluable help during my pregnancy and delivery. I started these yoga classes early in my pregnancy and looked forward to the sessions every week. In particular the classes gave me time to focus on myself and on the baby and I found the relaxation and positive affirmations so helpful in making me feel calm, relaxed and excited about the birth. I remember the first time we mentally repeated Rachel’s affirmations (‘my baby and I are healthy, strong…etc.) which almost brought tears of relief to my eyes (a combination of pregnancy hormones and the opportunity to forget any worries and negative thoughts which can build up over the weeks). I also found some of the visualisation exercises useful during labour.
I had a very straightforward pregnancy and delivery, opting for a home birth which some people might not consider for their first child. It was an extremely positive experience and I would definitely recommend Rachel’s classes for birth preparation.”
