Pregnancy massage is specifically tailored for the needs of a the pregnant woman. We will spend time getting you as comfortable on the couch as possible – this will usually be lying on the side – to ensure comfort and safety for both mum and baby.
Gentle classical massage techniques will then be to help reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints.
It’s a popular complementary therapy during pregnancy for back pain, when choices for pain relief, such as medication, are often limited.
Not only can massage be physically beneficial, but the human touch can be comforting and provide emotional support during pregnancy.
Massage is not recommended in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Postnatal massage helps to realign and re-educate the body after childbirth. It addresses physical discomforts, as well as your emotional state and body, mind and soul are nurtured and rejuvenated
